While in the 6th form, Nigel Farage would smoke on the "Belsen Bus", when a black person appeared on screen, would loudly exclaim, "Are you English?", repeated chants of the National Front: "The National Front is the white man's front", and "There ain't no black in the union jack".

Good for you. I always check if a company is 'owned' by Amazon before I buy from them.

Surely sharing addresses, emails etc. of close family members (presumably without their consent) would be a breach of GDPR

The specific UK form of trans-hostility began around 2012. A cohort of white cishet "feminists" were claiming on social that theirs was a "universal experience of women." They were furious intersectional feminist BWOC and disabled women criticised their privilege and bigotry.

Fast-forward to this.
Most anti-trans UK women are white cis. They reject intersectional feminism as it requires they acknowledge their privilege and how it shields them from extreme misogyny others face.

Claiming to be perpetual victims of a (fake) threat from trans women both whitewashes AND enhances their privilege.

I don’t understand the mentality of people who are obsessed about the sexuality or gender identity of people they have never met. Strikes me that it’s them who are the problem not the objects of their hatred/bigotry.

Perhaps this may be a factor.

It's sad he's been pushed out. It's rare to see a principled BBC presenter. Not familiar with the show (I've tried to avoid BBC content for years.)

But Robin's co-presenter's spouse was vocally anti-trans 12+ years ago. Seems still is. This must have been awkward. 😟

The BBC was never the voice of reason. It was always the voice of Conservative Britain. That hasn't changed. What has changed is that Liberal Britain has become deeply conservative, and Conservative Britain has embraced outright fascism.
