Not Really A Cat

I'm old and cranky. But if you rub me the wrong way, pretty much the worst I can do is hiss.
MAGA has assiduously cultivated an environment where nothing they say can be believed, so no surprise that nothing they could release would be believable. When you work overtime to destroy trust in institution, it's poetic justice when nobody can believe a fucking word you say.

Based on what I've seen lately, they're pretty tasteless.

I showed that episode to my stepdaughter just yesterday. She'd never seen it and I was worried that she'd view it with Gen Z cynicism. But, nope! She laughed loudly.

I'm too compulsive for gambling. I'm the type who hates losing so much that I feel compelled to keep playing until I win. But there are good shows, and great hiking nearby. Two days is about my limit, though.

Then he should have provided funds for more law enforcement instead of bringing in military.

He knows he's full of shit, right? Right? He has to.

Logic clearly isn't Vance's strong suit.

Dues? I thought we were to receive payments?! Nobody tells me nuthin!

Not to mention ignorance and incompetence.

Basically, it fulfilled the mission Musk really had for it.

They're starting to understand exactly how "great" tariffs are. That's why they're getting pissed.

They claim that enlisted people must assume that orders given by the Commander in Chief are legal, and the Supreme Court seems to have decided that the President can't be prosecuted for giving illegal orders. Combined, those are a recipe for tyranny.

I was one of the few who thought he could win in 2016.
November 22, 2025 at 11:44 PM
It used to be, at least.

Fair point. But Trump had a celebrity mystique, a certain kind of charisma, and the electoral benefit of being a male. She has none of those things. I just don't see her being able to overcome all that. I hope I'm not wrong.
November 22, 2025 at 11:41 PM
She will never be President.

At the time Biden decided to step down, she was the only viable option. A real primary wasn't feasible at that time. She did a remarkable job considering the constraints she faced. But, had Biden kept his promise not to run again, we might have had a better candidate. The fault is more Biden's.

Bottom vs. Top? Hmmm... It looked like Mamdani was definitely the top.
November 21, 2025 at 11:08 PM
With any luck, he's clutching his chest.
November 21, 2025 at 10:37 PM
That's an excellent takeaway.

Sadly, she's right that there is a significant number of voters who approve of Trump's misogyny. Not a majority of voters overall, but possibly a majority of Republicans.

To carry out the *lawful* orders of the commander in chief. She left that part out.
November 19, 2025 at 9:31 PM
Ooh!, he's wrong again.
November 19, 2025 at 9:29 PM
Does he ever get to why he thinks this is illegal? That would be the only relevant issue. I realize that to conservatives, "George Soros likes it" is a meaningful point, but to anyone familiar with logic, it isn't.
