We're seeing Republican politicians starting to push back against Trump. I've long read that a large percentage of Republican politicians actually hate Trump, and follow him out of fear. It true, a tipping point is coming. He just needs to get weak enough for them to hit back.

Two of the supposed drug smugglers whose boat our military blew up were rescued and now have been returned to their homes. No logic to it at all. Either they were dangerous terrorists or they weren't. The government just showed us that they weren't.

Trump's corrupt pardons aren't merely because he loves corruption, although he does. They're a tool of authoritarian control. Why are so many not seeing this. Pardons for his friends and pretextual prosecutions for his enemies work together to send a mafia like message.

Three cities in Texas each have a higher violent crime rate and murder rate than Chicago. The percentage of Texas' population that is undocumented is almost 50% higher than Illinois.

Very little shocks me anymore, particularly when it comes from the right. But Brian Kilmeades suggetion that we just murder the homeless really did. It was the casual, throwaway tone of it. As in, "of course we should murder them, who could object?" And it was the fact that nobody did.

When I moved to Chicago in 1990, the murder rate was twice what it is today. I lived in Uptown, a fairly sketchy neighborhood. Yet, I walked everywhere with no problems. I took the bus and the el with no problems. Today, it's much safer still. The Republicans are full of shit!
