One of the most common lower level Status attacks in #BattleGemPonies is Death Glare.

It's pretty powerful too, especially early on when stats are all small numbers and GP is most precious. #pokemon #mlp #rpg

In the #BattleGemPonies Arrival Story, Alpha ponies will appear after you've caught their base form. Come back to these same spots in the postgame and you may find new Alphas of the other local species in the area.
(As well as Alphas of the 3 starters...)

Here's a mysterious bug that's persisted for years. Gotta figure out what tells the Tsunami particle effect to bounce off enemies like that. And why it only happens SOMETIMES. 🌊

Got a whole handful of features done today. It's really nice when our second programmer soars overseas to us and we get to go HAM all weekend on the project. Feels like a real indie studio with the three of us giving it our all in the same room. #gamedevelopment #IndieGameDev

Getting particle systems like this to work was surprisingly tricky. Especially when it came to making it all flip properly when the opposite combatant uses the same attack.

Each pony has DOZENS of expressive animations. That's why it takes so long to get each one from single concept sprite to finished in-game.

You'll end up battling in all sorts of locations across Pinto. We made special battle scene backgrounds for each one.

(These backgrounds will also appear as your current location on the File Select screen.)

It was important for us to have multiple save files per game.
One for a first playthrough.
One for experiments and self-imposed challenges.
One for letting someone else play without messing up your main file.

The first travel trick we HAD to make sure was fun was the Surfing mechanic. 🏄
Wanted to add wave jumping and stuff, but features had to be cut for time. Those ideas may make it into a minigame though... #monstertaming #gamedev
