Plus I realised just how lonely a place it can be.

They spell it 솝 = "Sope".

J-Hope is using the affectionate form, 솝이 "sope-i" just like we have Hobi 홉이, Jimini, Seokjini etc. And just like Hope = Hobi, the "p" becomes "b" in pronunciation but not in the spelling.
J-Hope thinks their unit is cute 🥰
