They are different people. Clarkson isn’t a politician- though some would argue neither is Farage 😁 I know exactly what you mean about timelines in reverse, sometimes wish I didn’t know the beliefs and values of some people.

I understand there is good and bad in almost everyone (with notable exceptions). I guess I find the bad outweighs the good, tending to take all factors into account. Eg even if Farage said something I agreed with I’m not going to cut him any slack & wouldn’t watch any tv programmes he made.

Depends if bad means being a misogynist, tax avoider and animal abuser. Then it’s not ok. He’s always been a privileged horror. States he bought a farm to avoid taxes, makes millions - moans about IHT. He’s “funny” in the same way as Johnson or Trump so people think it’s ok.

I could just about cope with stupid; we've survived plenty of stupid regimes in the past. It's the combination of crass stupidity with determined intentional malevolence that is so frightening and bloody depressing.
