Yet as time ticked over, I guess being his best friend wasn't enough, and so when we returned to this place once again. My face flushed from the tears of realisation, I confessed. I confessed to him, knowing it didn't feel right, but why couldn't it? Why couldn't I just be a regular girl confessing to the boys? Yet it couldn't be, could it? Because I was a boy, wasn't I, and he knew that. "I'm sorry, Ray, I can't see you like that", and so the quiet enveloped us. Who knows how long the quiet lasted? The echoes of my mind just wish I could be like any other girl. It was everything; they got all the nice stuff while boys had to go through this icky boy puberty. Thank god I hadn't gotten to the brunt of that. I had feared it so much that I cried to my best friend (maybe ex now) and even to my Mum - Dad would have told me to just man up. Thank goodness it hadn't come for me yet. In my next life, I hoped I could be a girl. Then everything would feel okay, and he could see me like that. "I kind of thought this would be your answer," I broke the silence, although I still couldn't look at him. My best friend, the person I'd been with forever, I didn't want to know how he looked at me right now. *He wouldn't look at me badly if I were a girl.*

"Summer!" Mum called out from downstairs. I should have been down a minute ago, but this mirror kept distracting me. Just looking in awe at who I had become. "Summer, we need to get going now!" Mum yelled. "Coming, Mum!" I said, turning away from my mirror and scooping up my bag, and heading over to my textbooks. I had gotten all the news ones for High school, and honestly, that was an even greater relief than the uniform. Finally getting a new Biology textbook helped me move past that. That day, that book, that prison sentence. It had all brought a crushing feeling of hopelessness. Now there was hope. I still had that prison sentence weighing on my head, but hopefully, soon I could get on HRT. "Summer! Hurry!" Mum yelled again. "Sorry Mum, I'm packing my bag!" I called back.

Feeling much better and finished up a rewrite of part 22. I did have a slight draft pre getting sick but it was so hard to get back into it, so I just rewrote the whole thing. I do warn, that it might be slightly shorter then usual, so apologies for the wait then a short chapter.

Something that I have been contemplating for YappyTales is setting up a Patreon once MimNL is done. On release I’ll have the first chapter of the sequel there, and it will be the place for new stuff to go before going to Scribblehub. Releases would still come to Scribblehub but on a slight delay.

No upload this week. It took to long to get this chapter right. The aftermath of the appointment bring the story pretty close to where I’ll be finishing Maybe in My Next Life. Yes Summer’s journey at school will be told, but in a separate book that will come out later.

Plus, your height isn’t helping shortstack,” Amber said, smirking. “I’m not that short,” I said, gently pushing you. “Oh, please, Summer, did you see how you looked when you were next to Rhea. She’s tall, and gosh, you look tiny compared to her.” “What, no, I don’t!” “Yes, you are” Amber says before running to the car. “Hey!” I say running after her, although by the time we’ve both gotten into the car, we are both a giggling mess. “I’m sooooooo going to get Mum to let me sit in the front on the way back,” I say as we both try to calm down. “No, you can’t make me sit with Pete.” Amber is still giggling just as much as I am. “I can and I shall. Unless you say I’m not short.” “You're not as short as Maxxy,” she says, and the time it takes me to remember that she’s referring to Penny’s little sister, who’s not even in middle school, Amber is giggling all over you. “That’s it, I’m so taking the front seat!” I say as I fall into a giggling fit again. We don’t stop until a door opens and we hear Pete say, “God so loud.” “Shut up, ass,” Amber says, trying to stifle her giggles. “Please don’t become as annoying as her,” Pete says, looking at me. Though it’s noticeable that he avoided saying a name. “Shut it, I am not annoying. And Short Summer adores me; she’d love to be like me.” Amber grins as I slap her shoulder at the comment. “Ugh, girls,” he exclaims, annoyed at the two of us, as Mum gets in as well.

Hibari-kun is amazing! It is the manga I really don’t understand how you wouldn’t call her Trans from so many quotes from the manga. I’m super excited to get the physical edition, though sad the website just calls her boy.

"Okay I've had enough! We are doing something today" Amber declared as she plops down onto the couch next to me. "We have two days of no life threatening event occurring and you get bored" I can't help but giggle. It's silly, and honestly I'm super down for it, but also I've enjoyed just laying about, both days, but maybe that's just cause I'm so used to not doing much. Highly recommend any lovely peeps who have read my stuff or things like it, to read Sakura Chan and Amane Kun. It has lovely trans rep and I wished it got finished. Though the Authors other works are still pretty trans coded, this one was very clear about characters being trans.

I really couldn’t wait to get home and fall asleep, though I really needed to get something to eat. After everything that happened with Dad, and now I had to go through so much with Dr Patterson, or Carol as she said I could call her. Honestly it had been terrifying at the start. She asked so many different questions about how I had felt. She did compliment me on my outfit, but then after that she started asking a bunch of different things. How did it make me feel? How did I feel when I wore boy clothes? After those questions, she started asking about my week. Talking about the week I’d realized how much I’d went through since my last appointment. I've gone out to the mall, got confronted by someone, told my sister, came to terms with everything, and then had to deal with everything at Dad's. It was a lot, and as Carol noted down things, I worried it looked bad.

I wish I could just leave her sleeping. My own daughter had been so distraught for so long. Sh'd cried her heart out and I tried my best to console her, and yet she still had seemed so broken. Thankfully as we drove she just settled into her seat and fell asleep. She'd become so peaceful, and I was so thankful to watch her seem at peace. I had turned the radio off and just drove, trying my best to not disturb her. Now that I was parked up on the driveway, I needed to disturb her. It seemed to horrible to do, she'd wake up and have to deal with the ordeal I sent her to. I'd thrown her to her father and this was the result. I shouldn't of sent her, but what could I have done. I needed to focus. I can't do this, Ray needs me. I couldn't not send her to her father. I had tasks to do, so that I could help her. All thanks to Daisy, we had a plan now. I was going to do my best for my children.

Coming back to a half day at work brought upon one of my worse days since getting my doctorate. The day trudged along quite slowly. Thankfully nothing to hands on but sitting in my office and handling paperwork wasn't what I needed to not think about what had already occurred today. Thankfully time never did stop and I was off of duty and down to a pub near the towns center.
