it baffles me how many people drive around in the dark completely oblivious that their lights are off.

in stark contrast to the high speed close pass from a pickup towing a huge trailer last week;
here’s an A+ pass from a driver who slowed down enough to let there be room in the left lane so he could give ample space when passing me.
all it took was an extra 3 seconds.

this family was just trying to make it from the playground back to the neighborhood.
a ditch on 1 side; 45mph traffic on the other—with no protection from either.
Houston’s mayor thinks this is fine.
can you believe people actively opposed a plan to make this a buffered 10’ multi-use path?

why would we design school zones to look safe and attractive with fun mobility for students when we can have this instead?!?!?

This driver gave neither, with his giant trailer coming even closer.
All to pull across the bike lane into a turn lane—instead of just slowing down and going safely behind me.

it’s something drivers tell themselves to justify the expense of car ownership & hours lost sitting in traffic.
if the same number of bikes were backed up as cars shown here, it’d take up the same amount of space as only 4 or 5 cars.
