I'm a TTRPG designer, and I dabble in video games, too. I'm coming back from a long hiatus and trying to rebuild my following after getting banned from X. Gimme a follow if you're into

#PCgaming
#RPGs
#TTRPGs

Or if you're also into game design! I long for community.

It's another #selfpromosaturday and you know what to do! Im personally looking for #indie #ttrpgs but I'm cool with anything you want to show off (SFW preferred).

So I'm deep in the muck of my D&D 5e conversion project, hard at the monster section. Going you've the aberration in the SRD, they're either boring, or distinctly D&D (or both).

So I made something new using the existing traits that's kind of something between the xenomorphs and Starnger Things 1/3

Another great bit of content on table play! You guys are killing it today!

Good advice and tips, and another like minded individual who promotes having fun with the game narratives

As I'm chipping away at my GMing chapter, I come across this posted on my self promo Saturday thread and this guy has it nailed right on the head! While I express communication as a key, I did not express trust as a component and I think I'll have to ammend that.

I hope to see a lot more, brother!
thanks for the space!

I create and post new homebrew every Tuesday!

I post about my thoughts for a fulfilling ttrpg game, and have added a video series where I talk about tips for a good game, as well as deep dives into specifics and homebrew!

It's been a hectic few weeks, but we're here for another #selfpromosaturday! Showcase your #WIP or completed #ttrpg, #podcast, #streamer, #art, or #writing!

I myself have had a busy time for the last month or so. 1/9

My recommendation is GMBinder.com
It fell off on development but it's still a perfectly viable tool. With some CSS know-how, you can set the style to whatever you like and just type. The layout is done semi-automatically, you still have to place your headers, page and column breaks,

This is a stylish looking game!

Interesting setting I think

It's another #selfpromosaturday so share your #indie #ttrpg with me!

This is also a callout to those creators! I have been working with a small group to get a community and a zine together that helps spotlight these games!

Share this around so we can make a better #ttrpgcommunity

🧐‼️
For those unaware, we've had a hand in the zine's creation!
If you are interested, give it a quick read! If you are an indie creator yourself, don't hesitate to submit your project to it!

'Lo Hello!
We've been working on Not Saved, a digital zine that features indie creations from across pop culture. Video games, comics, books, music, and of course TTRPGs.
Check it out, and stay tuned for the next issue, which will come out very soon!

A few weeks ago, we had the Polygon debacle where they told indie game makers its time to speak up. And so they spoke up about how polygon rejected their submission because they were indie.

For some reason, I thought it was a good idea to create a space and zine highlighting indie games 1/4

I hear the sentiment, I do. However. It's not just about a game being good or not (subjectivity aside).

An #indie #ttrpg can come from anywhere and anyone. Years ago when I released exclusively on dtrpg, I was going against a tide of tens of thousands of competitors, each good in their own right 1/

Ok so like... what if I did start a simple "magazine" that highlights #indie #ttrpgs exclusively.

I've been kicking around the idea for a bit now about doing review work, shifting off of making my own games because there simply is no spotlight for most of us. 1/5

Ok but now that 5 minutes have passed and I've thought on it... why not just make one? I saw a few posts under the one I quoted where people made submissions and never heard back.

What if we as a community, just made a newsletter, blog, or digital magazine that runs exclusively on indie ttrpg news?
What if... unironically... there was a magazine geared towards exclusively covering indie TTRPGs. If such a one does exist I wish I knew of it.

All my posts about wanting to know what's new on the scene have rarely been about mainstream. I want Underground ttrpg news!

Meanwhile, everyone in the comments is rightfully clowning on Polygon for the lack of coverage of indie TTRPGs. Post about your game in the comments, lets make indie #TTRPGs heard loud and clear.

I haven't read them so I can't speak for them, but the author of one of my favorite zombie series also wrote a werewolf series. Shoutout to Keith C. Blackmore.

If you start with the Mountain Man Saga to see what I'm a fan of, you'll see the subtle shift in his storytelling over time.
By the way.

Reading this series I am reading has reminded me how I don't get a lot of good werewolf media in my life, and that is prolly a mix of a lack of good ones and me not being aware of them.

Hit me with your favorite werewolf novels/short stories.

It seems like a fun little adventure to have!

Also, there's a discount link to the product tucked away on the linked page, for those interested
I’m happy to share my first solo adventure!!

Aboard the little secret is a solo adventure inspired by OSR games but also easily adaptable to other systems. It was created in a sandbox style, granting players the freedom to explore the adventure and its events.

Get new pajamas, a new robe or sweater, new socks, and underwear. All comfortable materials, of course.

Draw a hot bath, shower off before the bath gets too cold. Scrub yourself real good in the bath; it's imperative!

Put on all those unused, comfy clothes. Do whatever lazy day things you want.
WINTER BREAK!

Anyone have some #cozy traditions I can steal?

Man, I didn't even shamelessly plug the game 🤣

So, in the past, I've had problems with collaborations and the usual remedy for this is releasing titles under CC licenses... however, I wouldn't object to a collab now.
