ANYWAY! If you never buy my books, if you only ever get books/ebooks from libraries, you are STILL supporting authors & I think you are grand.
If you are stealing from authors, just like tech bros stealing our work for hallucinating autocompletes, you're not hurting publishers. Just us. Own that.
