Aw, man. Gil Gerard died. It's near impossible to be a Gen-Xer and not have grown up with him as a hero. A soap opera actor turned lunch box superhero, he absolutely dominated the late 70s as Buck Rogers. He was also Jake Rizzo on Sidekicks and many will remember him from THE NICE GUYS. Legend.

What is this investment in AI? This should be private sector. Unless the investment is going towards energy or other infrastructure improvements.

In Shell we trust..
One day the industry will recognize the drawbacks of AI agents and nondeterministic automation, and rediscover the UNIX philosophy of chaining together small purpose built tools in a low cost and predictable way, otherwise known as shell scripts.
