Wat Mai Thep Sathit. Very near my mother in law’s house. Driven past it, never stopped until today. The being is a Naga, part human, part serpent. In Hindu and Buddhist traditions, they are seen as divine or semi divine protectors and guardians.

I was deployed to Somalia, Panama, Desert Storm, Serbia, Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan and other primo vacation spots. Even in combat zones we had to have 100% positive ID before any engagement. 100%. We make mistakes, yes, did we try to prevent the same mistakes? Yes. There’s a whole book about it.
