I felt so seen and loved by GDQ deciding to move their event out of Florida not just to protect trans and queer attendees/runners, but disabled ones too. Florida was very anti-mask and they didn't want anyone to feel like they didnt belong or couldn't come bcs their accommodations weren't met.

Increasingly I feel like I favor furry because it espouses the idea that humans, for all our mastery over nature, are still animals. We need to nap and wander and frolic and utter strange noises. It is good for us to be weird little guys, which is something society is so committed to stripping away.
