Agreed! There are much better and safer designs now, AP1000 APR and SMRs. US has really fallen behind. By contrast, France standardized their nuke plants and get about 69% of its electricity from them - smart.
I wish we would just adopt next-gen nuke and be done with it. Electricity would be so inexpensive, so safe, and so plentiful, that we could afford to manage atmospheric CO2 levels, and perhaps even synthesize our fuels by using atmospheric carbon so we avoid adding more carbon to the atmosphere

Hope so. As seen with some pardoned J6 idiots that have since committed more crimes, hopefully the states can step up. Except states like TX where criminals are in charge.
So do we just have to give up on federal prosecution of criminals and do everything at the state level so they can’t be pardoned?

Missouri has (8) representatives, (6) are Republican. Our GOP-led state gov't just gerrymandered the maps and ousted 1 of only 2 Dem reps. Maryland removing (1) GOP rep would balance Missouri. Every seat counts.

I couldn't agree more Molly. I believe a lot of sexists found reasons to not vote for Harris or skip voting. One young white male voter I know thought trump out debated Harris! Stupid. Would many (or at least some) that sat out the last election have bothered to vote if Tim Walz had led the ticket?
