A new mural has appeared in Ternopil, dedicated to children killed in Russia’s attack.

The artwork, showing a child shielding her toys from a Russian missile, was created by artist Andriy Yermolenko. He described it as “a cry for help to the global community.”

Sami Abdul Rahman park Erbil Kurdistan Iraq

Finally got a chance to get some socially distanced steps in.

But for the vast majority of the people here electricity has not returned yet, three days after the bombing of the power station. This is a major struggle...

Friday is Saturday here in Iraq 🇮🇶 so that means it's PhD day for yours truly.

I actually keep plugging away during the week, that's for sure, but I can fully focus today.

See you on the other side folks 😉

The ending of 50+ years of the Al Assad dictatorship, and 13 years of brutal war, was something that I could not, never, have envisaged when I left Syria in June 2024.

Ten years of my life revolved around this war

The fact that it's over is still overwhelming to be honest 🥹🕊

Doubt there are too many Iraqi friends on here but on the off chance I thought I'd share.

The rules of the region have to be respected when you're the approved training provider for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Hence only Iraqis can partake.

Have a great day folks.

A friend of mine did something with my long silver locks.

Felt like a bit of a tool, bit long in the tooth for this malarkey but here we are.

After the attack on the gas power plant last night in Sulymaniyah large areas of Kurdistan are without power.

Only generator power is available, for those of us in modern apartments we are the lucky ones.

For the rest of the people they have no electricity.

Bartella Hamdaniyah Iraq.

That's where this beauty came from.

A Christian town that I know very well from the madness back in 2014 but these are better days.

And this local wine is pretty good actually. 👌

Might see if we can bring a shipment to Ireland 🤔😅

Erbil Kurdistan Iraq.

The first Ireland Kurdistan collaboration where culture and business connects.

Small steps in one regard and yet the possibilities are practically endless.

Towards an amazing future between these ancient lands.

There is no peace plan.

Never can be a peace plan in any conflict without the two warring parties actually negotiating a peace plan.

This is not a controversial statement to make.

By the way, #RussiaIsATerroristState
As of yesterday, most EU foreign ministers said they have not seen the "peace plan" reported in the media and expressed their concerns.

Almost all ministers who spoke to the press insisted that no peace negotiations can take place without Ukraine’s participation.

At what point do we discard the phrase 'trumped up charges' on the basis that it's original meaning is now redundant?

NEW: Federal judge rules Trump's D.C. troop invasion is likely illegal, must end by Dec. 11.

National Guard troops have been in D.C. since August. A federal judge ruled Thursday that both deployments — D.C. National Guard and out-of-state troops — likely violate the law.

For those of us of a certain vintage the Stone Roses were life changing.

Simple as.

The bass playing on those records was stunning. Listen back and enjoy.

Still have the gold coloured vinyl of Fools Gold. 35+ years old classic.

Rest well Mani. Gone too soon. 🙏❤️🎶🎸

Ternopil Ukraine 🇺🇦

First three photos I took back in 2022 when I was working on the humanitarian emergency response.

A busy city, bustling with families going about their lives.

Last photo is from yesterday.
