Excited to share our first look at Enterococcus faecium infection biology: diabetic wounds are complex, and E. faecium persists despite early immune responses. In diabetic mice, it shows impaired clearance + sustained neutrophil recruitment, worsening healing.

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

As I said at the time this was the landmine in the immigration white paper. It will cost unis much more than they're getting from inflationary rises in domestic fees.

LOL. I understand that X has removed the feature now.
X rolled out a new feature overnight showing where accounts are based. This network of “Trump-supporting independent women” that claimed to be “real Americans” are based in Thailand.

The photos were stolen from European models & posts pushed pro-Trump lines while targeting Islam and LGBTQ people.

If you have meningitis you are too unwell to have tumours resected.

It would be surprising if there was an undetected burden of subacute/chronic gram negative bacterial meningitis that was presumably asymptomatic.

still skeptical.... The crucial point is that, if bacteria get a foothold, like in a privileged site in a tumor, they will grow out and cause local and systemic problems.

Hello @natmed.nature.com @sahelisadanand.bsky.social, I am trying to find the peer review reports for this paper www.nature.com/articles/s41..., but I cannot see them on the website.

Does this mean the authors declined to have these published alongside the paper, or is this an editorial oversight?

Years ago, my mother had the chance to join one of his workshops. Together, we prepared by going through the available "scientific literature".

So, immediately she started asking the right questions...

After 10 minutes, she was kicked out because "this was clearly not for her"

So proud of her

If the UK's plan is '(1) withdraw from ECHR, (2) retrospectively change status of immigrants in the UK, (3) .... (4) profit!' then I have a bridge to sell to the current/future government.

Incredible not just that this happened, but that it’s not even a second or third tier news story, let alone something Farage will actually be held accountable for. Doesn’t make the top 15 stories on either the BBC or the Guardian! Filed under “Wales”.
