‪(1/2) My latest projection for the Patriots 2026 salary cap space number is $40.5 with 51 players signed.

I am including my projections for LTBE incentives for the 2026 roster in my numbers.

Have increased the 2026 salaries of Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte to the projected low RFA tender.
This is my latest projection at the Patriots 2026 cap space number. As of 8AM EST December 31st the Patriots have 49 players signed for the 2026 season. I am presuming they will sign most of their practice squad to futures deals once their playoff run ends. I am GUESSING at the 2026 League Cap number, the 2025 carryover, and the adjustment numbers. These numbers will become more accurate as games are played. I am now projecting LTBE incentives for players on the 2026 roster. For example, Carlton Davis has $2M in playing-time incentives that will be categorized LTBE (Likely to Be Earned) if he continues to play at least 87% of the snaps. Please note both Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte have played enough snaps during their rookie deals to increase their 2026 salary from $1.145M to the projected low RFA tender amount ($3.711M). Why is my projection lower than others? 1.) Am using a lower carryover number ($47.7M versus larger numbers) 2.) Am including LTBE incentives in 2026 cap numbers. They are not yet but they eventually will. 3.) Have higher 2026 salaries for Boutte and Douglas. I have the Patriots 2026 effective salary cap space number as $20,967,705 after projecting these future expenses $3.2M in cap space to sign 2026 draft class. The $3.2M is just a holder as no one knows now where the Patriots 2026 draft picks will actually be. $5.25M for Practice Squad players and their elevations $1,784,882 for earned NLTBE active roster bonuses. Expect this number to increase as players miss games during the 2025 season. $1.77M for the salaries of players 52 and 53 $7.5M to replace injured players

I think Nixon was an outsider looking in relative to the political time he was operating in, while Trump is just late-stage Reaganism and so the president thinks he can do whatever he wants because he’s riding a wave that may well coming crashing down on the weight of getting what he wants.

i'd go even further and say there is a reason even nixon kept this kind of stuff to himself. you would have to go back quite a bit to find a point at which is acceptable for a president to say anything like this *in public*, to say nothing of in the oval office.
