Yet another bullshit condo development broke ground a couple days ago at the old beer store in Gaytown…

The old graffiti juxtaposed against the excavator tearing up the pavement sure is… something🫠

My back & brain have had me in bed the last few days, but just bc I’m in too much pain to be active doesn’t stop him from needing his exercise… so I tied one of his spring toys to a long ribbon on a stick & added a jingle bell, so now I’ve got a “fishing rod” to entertain him with when I can’t move😅

Can definitely tell Frank is fully healed after being neutered 10 days ago… he’s so full of energy I have to run him around & play for almost an hour at a time to tire him out so he stops being a butt, getting into mischief & driving me nuts lol😅

I am gonna miss playing “cup & ball” with him & his cone though😅😂
Frank, giving me a grumpy look as one of his toys sits in his cone of shame on the side of his head… I’d toss the furry jingle ball on a fuzzy string toy towards him to catch… & it would get caught by his come… which reminded me of the day of timey toy that’s a wooden cup/bell with an attached ball on a string that you’d try & flip the ball into the cup

And now that the collar is off him, his energetic personality is too! I just spent the last hour playing with him & using his favourite feather toy… & I think we’re both tuckered out enough now for a nap😅

It’s definitely time for a good cuddle now that we can without the cone getting in the way

It’s been a week since Franks surgery, & he’s been healing really well, so I took his cone of shame off!

The instant look of relief on his face was just wonderful… now he can groom & scratch himself instead of giving me the sad eyes every time he needed his neck scritched for relief

What a rough fkn week… but I think I’m finally mostly recovered after going for 3 days without sleep from stress/anxiety & Frank having a paradoxical reaction to the meds the humane society gave him the day he got fixed… lil dude drove me up the wall omg.

At least it’s done now & he’s recovering

This photo is from Wednesday night/Thursday morning… right after spending all day Wed at the humane society to be neutered. The paradoxical reaction had me chasing him around the house all night trying to keep him from running, jumping & climbing all over everything & putting his surgery wounds at risk. He finally came down & crashed like 16-18h later… & has been mostly calm & cuddly ever since (thank fuck bc I was in full blown meltdown by that point bc I’d already not slept for the two days before his surgery… & couldn’t sleep while he was gone either🫠🫠)

I’m so lucky. Frank was abandoned in the alley out back of my place last month & I fell instantly in love with the lil butts. He’s the sweetest, most cuddly cat I’ve ever had
