The W is silent. Just here to talk writing, sports, comics, and everything else. Sorry I can't help with your election.
If you had watched the first half last night, you wouldn’t be spouting this nonsense.

so I could be watching the incredibly mediocre Canucks or I could be watching the smooth passing of the Whitecaps as they advance to the finals?

yeah, I think that's probably a better plan 😜

You don't hear as much about the Islanders needing to trade Barzal and Horvat all of a sudden.

Until Hughes is actually out the door, it's hard to imagine a 5 year rebuild for the Canucks. Turning this year into a top 3 pick is absolutely possible. And if you get really lucky, maybe the Hughes leaving story changes quickly?

Unfortunately for the Canucks, I don't think there's many NHL teams that just look at goals these days and I don't know if anyone is getting fooled by Sherwood's production.

This summer. I just don't see it as a deadline deal unless Hughes has really convinced everyone in Canucks management that he's never staying.

The Canucks lose all of these trades, but they will have to do one of them. The NJ one is the best.

I don't think the Devils or Canucks do it, but the upside for Vancouver is flipping Mercer and improving your draft position over the next two years.

Kane was the wrong choice for the Canucks for so many reasons, but he‘s not going to shoot 0% all year and if he gets a lucky streak in January there are teams that will take a chance
November 24, 2025 at 7:30 AM
thats all I have access to obviously, but every time fans have seen a flurry of goals from a Joshua or a Sherwood, they think it’s evidence of pure skill rather than shooting variance and the same when it goes the other way

5 attempted shots per game at 5v5!

he has stayed consistent in his bad picture choices: stacks of cash to Kash Patel

From Moneypuck: Bo Horvat has 9 goals on 5.4 expected goals. Kane has 0 goals on 5.0 expected goals. So at very least, hold him until the trade deadline and hope the luck balances out and you can get a pick back.

No he doesn't. But we could have just kept that first round pick. And targetted a player that wasn't such a huge risk as Chytil.

The Miller trade looks so bad right now. I don't understand how Marcus Pettersson is this bad.
November 24, 2025 at 4:06 AM
it lasted 16 months in Vancouver and blew up because of a problem that apparently existed long before he arrived. And even without Demko and an injured Pettersson, they at least had a decent record and a chance to make the playoffs last year.
