Really nice thread, giving an idea of the direction a clean European electricity grid is heading towards.
Also makes a good point on nuclear: it can be a good complement to renewables, even if not a good replacement for them.

This is real (at least in the US). It's not one of those stupid things where you put an idiotic statement on your FB page declaring something illegal. I just checked it on FB settings and it had a list of every website I visited recently. Fucking weird. The future kind of sucks.
UM, I had NO idea facebook was tracking everything I did on the internet. EVERYTHING. I have diligently blocked and followed all ways to try to stop this messed up social media from taking from me, but this is the final straw… THESE JERKS! AGH! [screenshots on how to do it in the comments]

Yes I agree. The government of Brazil - last time I looked (so happy to be corrected ) - stood firm and the ex South African billionaire backed down. If we don’t stand up for facts, truth and reason then a misinformed democracy can never be a democracy.
Absolutely. But also: what is happening on X right now, its owner trying to subvert democracy in a number of European countries is relevant, I would even say (not a word I use lightly) historic. Those of us who work in journalism &academia can’t just completely ignore reality because it is ghastly.
