Cool. Don't hesitate - i'm the weirdo who has 40ish years of PC and Mac history at hand. post 1990 or so there are still a lot of connectors but remarkably few types and formats to worry about, given what you'd imagine.

If you'd like to chat about dealing with the purely technical issues, i can probably help you brainstorm through those. There's not THAT many old formats and old connectors that you're liable to have used.

I've just got in some tapo cams to play with this week. i haven't thrown any monitoring on whether they're secure or not, but I did get the basic functions wired in to my NVR without grief
