I don’t have good advice here, but happy to be along for the ride. Last time I bought a chair was like 2021, and I just went to Staples and sat in things until I found something I liked.

That is, I think the real question is about Searing Blaze's ruling, not about how we understand Fiery Annihilation to work.

This is not the whole story, as Fiery Annihilation targets a creature "that player or that planeswalker’s controller controls."

It probably should be a leaves-the-battlefield ability, like the others. I’ll check.

Oh, this is just an underlying problem with Caged Sun, which has a bizarre template that may or may not actually work. I mostly just pretend it doesn’t exist. Koh doesn’t actually do anything new in this respect. Other cards can turn no land permanents into lands.

I don’t think we’re seeing the problem. The two rules you listed complement each other, not contradict. I think they’re not sure what the question is. #WotCstaff
