But I agree that it's different once we're talking about this public, professional/personal mess their creating.

That being said, I've lived a pretty charmed life I guess because I think the vast majority of men would be safe to be around. Most people don't randomly hurt strangers.

It really depends on the scenario. I never imagined the man in a survival scenario, I took it to mean "somebody finds you in a helpless position." And I think there are a lot more men who would violently take advantage of that situation than women.

Yeah there's a difference between "here are the unethical aspects of this affair" and "here are the intimate but ultimately irrelevant private sexual details of the affair."

That's the part that to me feels like revenge based on sexually humiliating someone, which isn't revenge porn but is similar.

I talked to someone in this department once who described that their hiring looks for people who focus on customer service and don't have an "agenda," which I suspect rules out people who actually care about enforcing the rules.

This is the case like 95% of the time at an intersection near my house and I end up going consistently out of my way to avoid it.

I wasn't kidding, but a quick google search tells me you're right. I'm surprised there's so many kinds and that I've never encountered them before

"Learning how to perform womanhood so you're not punished" is basically the definition of "socialized female." It's just going to feel varying levels of fine or horrible depending on how much you fit in that box.

That kind of applies to anyone with a non-conforming gender identity/expression though, including cis people. I don't think "socialized male/female" needs to be a concept that somehow diminishes or undermines trans peoples' experiences, even if there are people who insist it does.

Yeah sex is not a good context for the same kind of compromise. "I care less, so I'll just do it even though I don't want to." 🫤

I'm on team "a few dishes in the sink is fine." But if it bothered my partner I'd try to change my habits.

I thought he was making some good points until he got to the "solution" here. It's true that nobody's "objectively" correct in cases like this, but it'd clearly be better for the person who cares less to make the small sacrifice of changing their behavior for the one who cares more.

But also understand that "I'm glad my state isn't trying to kill me" doesn't imply "I'm glad people in other states are dying."
