I don't live in NYC but if I did I would have voted for him. His ideas are mainstream Dem, he is a great campaigner, his opponents were corrupt. Also the claim that the party in general or the DNC opposed him are objectively false. He got the majority of Dem votes and is widely supported by D pols.

That's two and you can only list one or two issue you don't like. Why do you want to hate the whole party? Clearly you want to. You are ignoring decades of actions on behalf of the common good and the working class and are attacking Dems instead of Rethugs. Are you a Russian bot?

I really think people should not be punished for things said decades ago when their behavior in the intervening years show growth. Her husband is Jewish!

"I will not help to vote our way out because I am SO FUCKING SPECIAL I only vote for the PERFECT candidate someone said Dems are corporate AIPAC sell outs and I can't be bothered to learn anything I just believe that and carp from the sidelines where I don't have to do any actual work."
December 21, 2025 at 1:18 AM
I'm sorry you voted for an AIPAC shill; I didn't. Nevertheless to smear the whole party with opinions about a few members is just wrong.

I don't live where there is a primary right now.
December 21, 2025 at 1:12 AM
Yes we should pay attention to who we send and that means we should not make unfair, fact-impaired sweeping slanders of the whole party. The Rethugs are the party of corporate interests. Learn some history, please.

whether they are Russian operatives or not, that is how they function. Sometimes when I encounter a comment like that I ask, "Are you a Russian trying to depress the vote?" Outrage ensues. Yeah I know, honey. But I think I have run out of it.

Brooks is responsible for the essay he wrote. Half of NYC would be guilty if the "crime" is they were at the same social event with Epstein but had no other relationship to him and didn't invite him or know he was going to be there. I'm muting you now for the unnecessary argumentive tone.
December 19, 2025 at 8:23 PM
He's past his sell by date anyway.

Biden economics didn't get a chance to catch hold before the Rethugs dismantled it.
December 19, 2025 at 8:00 PM
As rumor. There were plenty of people who didn't hear rumors, didn't believe them, or were at a social function with Epstein only because they both had been invited by the host, not because they knew or liked each other or had any other connection.

Income inequality--the Kshaped economy--is a real issue, but you are right; that's not what motivated MAGAs. MAGA was created by decades of Republican hate/fear/polarizing propaganda and Trump tapped into that. Plus, HRC was pre-smeared by that propaganda and started with a 50% disapproval rating.

so that we aren't harmed by the worse one. Elections aren't about what one person wants. Elections are about what we will get after millions vote.
December 19, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Yeah some do. And some suggest Pritzker or Harris or Buttigieg or someone who hasn't got much name recognition yet. And millions of us will participate in the primary Hopefully most of the primary participants and other citizens will then do the adult thing and vote for the better candidate and

Christ, how freaking clueless.
December 19, 2025 at 4:45 PM
Didn't No Labels try that?
December 19, 2025 at 4:42 PM
You are right about the honey. My experience is that the "I'm too good to vote for the less evil candidate" are too high on their own supply to learn. Pointing out their selfishness at least limits in the context of the convo their influence on others. But you are right about the honey in general
December 19, 2025 at 4:40 PM
That's polite. I'm too old for that. I say, "With 200 mil + or - involved, elections aren't about YOU. They're about who the majority vote for--who we all have to live with. Withholding your vote for the better one because she/he isn't good enough for YOU means we all suffer the worst one. Grow up.
