#BirdOfTheDay entries. Bear with me. I spent quite some time watching Black Headed Gulls today. Keeping my best shots for another day but I like the splash and reflection in this one. #red #birds #EastCoastKin
Black-headed gull in flight just inches above deep blue water, wings fully spread and glowing white in the sunlight. Its red bill is open as droplets splash behind it, suggesting it has just snatched prey from the surface. The bird’s reflection ripples below, slightly distorted by gentle waves, mirroring the motion and adding a sense of speed and precision.

Oh little tree...I know you've seen better days but if you could see yourself the way I do...The sun hitting your moss covered limbs causes you to appear angelic in a sense...how did you know I needed an angel. You are so much more than a stunted tree in this vast forest of taller more robust trees. Your halo of light caught in a sunbeam has changed my day & for this I am grateful.
