This is one reason why I was against showing a single average score for a wine @winesky.app.

Eventually I plan to add a more personalized average. While the analysis feature will show average scores across multiple publications, it skews the notes more around when you'll like them (or not)

We’ve been loving seeing how you’re discovering Winesky's - even asking it things we wouldn't have thought of! 🍷

Want to level up your recommendations and find your next favorite bottle? It all comes down to being specific.

Here’s how to get the most out of the sommelier. 👇

Did we mention that #Winesky can identify bottles without you having to zoom in on a label?

(not to mention, extract information from multiple images)

And that one was tricky, because the photo also has a glass with the name of a different brand of vermouth.
Atamán Vermut by Barbadillo (N.V.) - 4½ ⭐

Wormwood, bitter blood oranges, herbs, berries.

Heavy on the wormwood, and made with Palomino Fino, so it doesn't taste as sweet and caramel-y as other vermouths. It has quite the character....

1/2

I love crazy labels - Malandrín falls on that category.

They're a pain to scan and identify... but that's why @winesky.app supports multiple images.
I really liked the label (and wine!) on this bottle that was part of the January drop for my wine club, but realized a picture alone didn't do it justice. So here's a video look at it.

We've just pushed a major change to Winesky's internals.

Everything looks fine, but if you run into any issues scanning wines or getting a recommendation, please let us know!

We've found a small bug when accessing Winesky on Safari when running on Lockdown Mode - you may get an error when initiating OAuth. Fix coming in soon.

I believe we've resolved the Safari issue - let us know if you still run into any issues!
Currently chasing an issue on winesky.app where, on iOS Safari, it seems to lock up when returning from your PDS during the OAuth process.

The current workaround is to install as a PWA before you sign in. Click on Share, pull up the sheet, then tap "Add to Home Screen".

Winesky scans are now PDS-first. It uploads the images after stripping identifying metadata such as device identifiers or location information.
