He is a PI working at the @ebdonana.bsky.social, Seville, Spain, studying how different vector characteristics, like their microbiome🦠, diets 🌺 or environment 🏙, can influence the transmission of avian malaria 🐦.

Today, we start with @jmartinezpuente.bsky.social, the leader of Working Group 3 "vector transmission success in wildlife malaria" 🦟🪰

Most importantly, the people that had an #STSMs shared their experience with all of us 🧳✈️ and also the results from the first #SummerSchool 👩🏽‍🏫 showing the importance of #WIMANET actions!

During these days, all the working groups updated their objectives and what they have achieved so far! From both #WG leaders and the participants

This week has been just a pleasure for both teachers and students. Another successful #SummerSchool of teaching and learning a lot thanks to #WIMANET! 🦠🔬

It was the most difficult part of summer school... They were everywhere but we couldn't see it! 🫣

We learnt about the different staining techniques you can use to find parasites and went to the hands-on practice 🔬

With lots of help from Nubia, Ed and German 🫶🏽 We learnt a lot!

Of course, after theory, it followed a hands-on session 🔬 where we observed interesting parasites such as:

We also have a great day talking during the coffee breaks ☕ and sightseeing Vilnius after the course🌇

After the theoretical lesson, we move straight forward to the hands-on practise with the microscope 🔬 and we spend here the rest of the day, learning to identify parasites and working in our students group project! 🦠🐦‍⬛🦅
