It's been percolating for about three years, but when I set down to write it, it took about four months to do the first draft, followed by two months of ignoring it. Well... here is the last word page of my book, "Love, Death and the Crucial Three." The only thing I forgot to add is a running order of the music mentioned in the book. Obviously, the Crucial Three - The Teardrop Explodes, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Mighty Wah - get a mention, and a thank you; Soft Play don't feature in the book, but 'Heavy Jelly' got played to death during the writing.
