Obviously, everything here is my opinion & not that of my employers, except when I am my employer

Yes that's not Hypha. That's just me helping a friend organise an exhibition

Upstairs from what? Which poster?

Lol. It's not that. I have *no* standards :)

Hah. I've not read it. I will. Though the names already are trad before I jump on. Jeff Wall and Thomas Demand though....

I'll read deeper into it. I'm just very tired of "photography" rooting back to the 19th century when average it covers a vast range of evolutionarily processes. And in the sector and from without, it's quite tiring to go to photography events / exhibitions refusing to acknowledge technological shift

Fair. I just guess I'm tired of "future of photography" discussions since 1910 with the same result, that for the mostpart the people who ask the question are feeling fixated on a specific period, modality and definition of photography. Usually hooked on one of these first two photos:

Is this a new thing, though? I did an MA Fine art photography in 2010 because most of my photographic knowledge was digital and I leapt into analogue (though left it after). I mean, don't we constantly discover the before, and it's not digital/analogue but just ongoing shift?

Shame on the @theguardian.com for this totally uncritical, incurious puff piece on behalf of a former colleague that makes no effort to interrogate the people behind the imaginary, call out the AI slop, or really think beneath the surface at all.

I got some incredibly unprofessional and undeserved comments from Helena for simply asking if she could investigate both sides of this issue. 😬 and I’m not the only one…

Because, as per the thread, they are two grifters with connections to libertarian think tanks. Loads of architects, planners, landscape architects and all sorts are already doing this thinking and practice, this does not reference or collaborate in any way, it is simply clickbait slop.

This is embarrassing, uncritical pr puff for the imaginary scheme, presumably because one of the two people who are behind it used to work at the Guardian. I did more interrogation in my pithy thread on it a few weeks ago than the author did in this shallow 'article'.

Yeah. That was my first thought too.

I've been looking for old chimneys in Birmingham that look remotely like the cartoon, flared ones Heatherwick has designed but can't find any. Is the fat tapering form an actual typology or just something he's made up?

Oooh. Got it!
