I see the bad in others
in myself I see only the good
if other people think like that

We've all seen the video
and so we know
the humble crow
who probably can't read is
just as smart
as Archimedes

They place pebbles in the glass
one by one until their mass
will raise the water level
which is pretty smart, I think
they do not shout "Eureka!"
but they get to take a drink

There are boundaries in the game
and every picture needs a frame
to keep things clear and separated
everything is not the same
But, even though each thing's distinct
somehow, everything is linked
it seems to be a paradox
but rather beautiful, I think

Again and again
again and again
we've heard them all before
the wind in the trees
the crashing of waves
the thunder's guttural roar
things that are miraculous
can come to seem mundane
when we hear them
again and again and again
again and again and again

The fire in the fireplace
is glowing with a constant light
logs are burning, never burnt
it could go on all night
it isn't really a fireplace
it's a screen up on the wall
flames are leaping
but it's creepy
that there is no warmth at all

I look around quite desperately
because I need to find
my glasses, without which I am
far too close to blind

I check on all flat surfaces
with increasing dread
and double check each pocket
then I find them ...... on my head

Some day I'll write a poem so bad
of meaning so devoid
that all my readers will be mad
or, at least, annoyed

It has happened to many greater
poets who've gone before me
I'll be O.K. with that, as long
as people don't ignore me

Physical, psychological
inanimate, biological
on solid land, or nautical
everything's tautological
that's just the way things are
People are people
trees are trees
and a star is always a star

AI, some day, will be a star
but "smarter than humans"
is a pretty low bart

Tariffs sound cool. Tariffs sound great.

The main thing to remember
if you're eating cannabis cookies
or just smoking marijuana
to get extremely high
is no matter how stoned you are
can't stand up, or find your car
there's still precisely zero chance
