I'm quite satisfied, however, to find that I disagree with the result of the fair share sequence for more than two people, which apparently begins

0 1 2 1 2 0 2 0 1

I agree that the math provides this result when you expand it into ternary, but I think 2's second turn should be before 1's.
I just figured out that the Thue Morse sequence can be expressed as the parity of the sum of the binary digits of the natural numbers (with zero), and I'm annoyed but not surprised to find that Wikipedia already knew that.

I just deleted all the apps I don't use and it was *so many*

Not even all bloatware, just apps I needed once and forgot about: ups, frontier, youtube studio, and a bunch of other apps I tried out and bailed on

@henryseg.bsky.social I made this at least a year ago, and I was going to reach out to you after making a video about it, but that video hasn't materialized.

If anyone is looking into buying a laptop or PC around now, I recommend looking into frame.work, who are going a step further than other manufacturers to deliver repairable products with open source specs, so that third parties can also provide replacement parts.
Introducing the Framework Desktop and newest Framework Laptop 13
Choose between our latest Framework Laptop 13 powered by Ryzen™ AI 300 Series processors or our brand new Framework Desktop with Ryzen™ AI Max Series processors.

I like to avoid drama by way of clear, albeit sometimes blunt, expectations and boundaries, with the unfortunate side effect that I do not participate in enough drama

Misbehave? More like missed the opportunity and behaved 😠

It's true, I've never had a conversation w Prof. Checkoway that didn't hinge crucially on a number of Star Trek references*

*this is actually the first time it's come up 😅
Bare minimum for holding a conversation: Star Trek, Star Trek: The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: The M…
Bare minimum for holding a conversation: Futurama season 3, knowing Mr Belvedere sat on his balls and they had to stop shooting for a couple of days, the Garfield comic where Jon accidentally drinks dog semen, why Jacob in Mass Effect is awful, that British group of old guys who do sex raps

If you get annoyed at a weather app notification, swiping it away will actually cancel the rain.

Very useful if you have an event planned, etc.

I wonder if BGE asked the training datacenters for LLMs to cool it as well, or just the customers whose health might permit turning off their AC.

I am pleased to report that if you are unemployed, you can say you're "jobn'ting", which both expresses that you're unemployed, as well as (by some stretch of the earmagination) doing something about it.

My brother, handing me the keys:
If you want to put it in reverse, put it in neutral. If you want it in neutral, put it in drive. If you want it in drive, put it in 3rd.

And park?

Park.

Madman. Nobody stealing that shit.

Omg different bus driver, same dude. I love this guy. What a way to spend your summer.
There's an autistic kid at the front of this bus chatting w the bus driver about riding on this bus, and riding on the other busses, this app he has on his phone, his friends, intersections, and honestly the bus driver isn't saying much at all, but I can see the smile in his eyes.

Okay I really support the vision here - the "Income to Support All Foundation" is advocating for UBI, and they support projects that could prove the feasibility/benefit of UBI. At a glance, some of their results are really impressive.

But is it really a foundation? Look no further:

It's a perpetually paralyzing paradox, that to learn I'm liked I must flirt, but I won't flirt unless it seems possible I'm liked. I'm perplexed.

I'm curious how one flirts without making someone uncomfortable who's not interested. I lost the ability to flirt in college when I became sentient.

Sometimes I correct a typo before sending/posting a text, and I wish I hadn't noticed it

Like it would have been a funny mistake but it's only funny if it genuinely happens without you noticing it

Side note: if I text you something about "fetishist" I was trying to type "Gettysburg"

I just learned the slogan of the South London Orienteers: "Think Fast, Run Hard, Go Orienteering"

which is deliciously expressive
