Hung out with me best mate today, and told him about the tomodachi life news. When i made a joke at the expense of shitty youtubers getting angry at it for the gender options, he responded with "People don't actually do that, surely". God, how i wish i could've remained as innocent as he is.

I got two things to say about that Tomodachi Life presentation. The first thing is that it was quite surprising (in a positive way) to see those gender and attraction options, i wouldn't have thought Nintendo would go for that.

I've been playing the first Yakuza Kiwami game over the past couple days (yeah i'm still on this RGG binge), and i decided to play that one after Lost Judgement because it shares the same combat engine as Yakuza 0. I really forgot how perfect 0's combat is, it's so bloody fun.

I've been reading The Complete Far Side on a friend's recommendation for a couple of days now. It's interesting how much about Gary Larson's mentality you can take away from it, like there will be like 10 within a month about cavemen so it's like "oh i guess he was obsessed with cavemen this week".

I think about the fact that there were two world wars probably a lot more often than your average person. It's one of those history facts that's just kind of accepted, but think about this way: One war that involved a majority of the planet was not enough for the human race. That is fucked up.

Here's a bit of #Castlevania trivia for ya: Did you know that in Rondo of Blood, Ritcher has a super-metroid-styled moonwalk? It's not very useful, which is a shame because it's a cool idea for a belmont to have.

I tried out that Yakuza Kiwami 3 demo that came out. Having only one heat bar is definitely a bruh moment tbh. Like the combat is fine, but it's definitely worse comparatively.

You know, it really is a shame that Konami has only officially port Symphony of the Night to ps4, i'm playing it again on my ps4 and in general it's a really charming game. Not the best metroid-styled Castlevania (see also: The Sorrow dualology), but has a lot of neat things going for it regardless.

You know, it kinda bums me out that they haven't added more patterns to City of the Wolves's colour editor. There are defo some neat ones in there (the metal slug ones come to mind) but would you believe me if i told you there's not even a basic striped pattern?

Watched Fatal Fury the Motion Picture tonight. Pretty okay. I think i like the 2nd OVA more but it's definitely fun to see the characters in a movie-exclusive story. Kinda surprised i didn't die tho considering how many scenes strobe like a... strobing thing

Just beat Lost Judgement. Definitely good, but not as good as the first one. There's a lot of cool ideas in there that either aren't explained very well or just not implemented in a interesting way to begin with. Literally took me until the final boss to realise that EX Boost has unique moves.

Okay so genuine question: Do youngsters refer to RGG games as "triple a slop"? Or are they like, still considered above that? Because i've been thinking if it's a double-standard to judge people for buying rockstar games while loving Yakuza or not for a couple days now.

I've been trying to collect my thoughts on that Season 2 trailer for Fatal Fury for like 2 whole days now. Still don't have them all in one bag, but what i will say is that the thing about GenAI being used in advertising is that it can very easily become a case of LITERAL false advertising.

Nightmare Geese is definitely a choice, considering he's already in the game technically. It's also odd that the roadmap image has "mystery characters" as i thought Steam requires the whole season to be revealed at once (but maybe i was misinformed or there's a legal loophole).

It kinda peeves me a little that Shinkiro has never had a full-on artbook collecting their work (to my knowledge). I got the Rival Schools artbook today, which has exactly 3 pieces of theirs in it! Look at this Batsu, man! That dynamic pose is SICK!

I think i'd put #VirtuaFighter 5 in my top 3 fighting games list now. Every time i learn something new about the game i'm amazed by how cool it is.

You know, i never would've thought there'd be a world where a Fist of The Northstar/Fatal Fury crossover being a possibility would NOT be hype, but the problem is, if that IS Kenshiro then that makes FIVE guest characters. And like, i kinda want to see more Fatal Fury characters in a Fatal Fury game
