"Man becomes first ever trillionaire" is a headline that should only inspire anger. No joy, no ambivalence, no apathy, just pure seething rage.

Musicians, stop using AI for your album art. I would legitimately rather you just make your art a selfie of you on the bus than see even more slop

I am a cranky old man ("back in my youth Halloween didn't exist 'round here"), but I can only agree with mr. Green here. Though my experience is for another country.
I feel like I say this every year but I really need people to hear it. Halloween is the best American holiday. Just kids outside welcomed into their world, marching around together, showing off their costumes to the elderly, parents meeting parents, neighbors catching up with neighbors.

Call out to music creators on YouTube: don't use GenAI for your visuals. As a fellow artist, would you like to be replaced with an algorithm because someone else couldn't be bothered to reach out to you?

If you are using GenAI for visual, why would I trust that music is made with your own effort?

Certain numbers accompany us through our lives, connected to our memories of people and places, of significant events. What numbers remain with you decades later? And why?

This poem is taken from Whatever You Do, Just Don't (HappenStance Press, 2023), my second full collection...

BBC Breakfast this morning had a long segment about the 30th anniversary of Windows 95. So what vintage computer did they put in the studio as a handy prop?

I just want to say “thank you” to the people who turned “Discovery Channel” into “Ghosts and Bigfoot” and “The Learning Channel” into “Granite Countertop Propaganda” for being a guiding light* for me as an owner of an educational media company.

*to run away from.

Stop spreading this garbage about em dashes in ACTUAL EDITED PROSE OH MY GOD.

Plenty of actual human beings know how to type em dashes! We’re called “writers” and “editors” — maybe you’ve heard of us?

"Team building exercise".
Quote this with your most spine-chilling three-word phrase in the English language. I bet you can't beat "replacement bus service" or "family fun day".

I don’t want dinners at fancy restaurants, I want breakfast in a sunlit kitchen. Not awkward conversations over expensive dessert, but quiet words over gently burnt scrambled eggs we forgot to stir because you were too busy distracting me and I was too busy letting you.

I canceled my company subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro, and they charged me $100 for "premature cancellation".

I hope the whole company goes up in flames.
