Solo devs and very small teams often have this inherent cringe about the idea of making people pay $20 or $10 or even $5 for their little game and I can't emphasize enough how much you have to grab that cringing impulse within yourself and strangle it to death

I've used smells for live action events and they are *extremely* effective (sometimes without people realising they've smelled anything).

There's also balance / inner ear, thermoception (heat detection) and things like hunger, thirst, need to go to the bathroom. A fair few more than five. :-)

I think I did my first proper bit of hacking in a hex editor to move through a door puzzle that I just couldn't solve. :-)
