Not a lot of faith, but a little hope.
Ah yes, Manifest Destiny, of course MAGA would glom onto that, almost like the 15th and 16th century conquistadors prowling the Americas killing and pillaging.
We don't seem to be progressing as a species much, can't see us lasting as long as the lowly cockroach or even dinosaurs.

You are correct but I'm pretty sure this is a situation where you just have consider where this comes from. Everyone needs a little latitude sometimes but again, you are right.

Good point, hadn't thought of that, pretty dystopian alright.

I am sure the Commander of the strike force would be well versed in the law that would apply to killing the survivors of the attack so if he committed the murders on his own volition I would say he's hooped, his boss has absolved himself so just a rogue sailor I guess.

If a person is to read it and assume at some point she figures out that she is pregnant and Hamlet eventually comes to that conclusion himself, the whole thing takes on a different and even deeper meaning.
And, if possible, even more tragic.

Very good and powerful.
So much there, is he being cruel to be kind or just cruel? Often seems as if the only real victim is Ophelia but there is so many innuendos written into the play and what is she hiding?
November 29, 2025 at 11:25 PM
That's a good idea. It would be a good place to hear the U.S. oath of allegiance actually given voice.
November 29, 2025 at 11:07 PM
Yeah, I like that there are many ways to view what he wrote. You can just read it straight up and it makes perfect sense, or dig into it and see different motivations.
No wonder they keep making movies based on his writings.
November 29, 2025 at 10:58 PM
Well, I do have to say in the context of the play it did seem quite misogynistic to me, Hamlet was pretty angry and not too happy with his mother for one.

My thought is this person seems to be quite passionate about her Christianity and maybe she should pursue her education in that environment.

In the words of the bard "Get thee to a nunnery!"
Hopefully she is actually expanding her mind and learning a little bit more tolerance by being in college, we have no idea how far she has come to this point.

I am somewhat amazed myself when I hear about the "Christian God" because when I went to those churches as a kid, I kept hearing that there was only one God so that would mean that God was the same one for everyone, including for enemies, different religions etcetera. 🤔

Well, I am sure, they will fully fund the MAGA Youth.

Not hard to imagine the Merit Badges like Turn Your Neighbour In, Let Me Get That Sweetie, Write Your Name in the Snow, Hold My Beer (Hesgeth Special Badge), Tease Weaker Kids, Shoot the Family Pet (he deserved it), etcetera.

Maybe it can be repurposed as a human rights museum something diametrically opposed to what is going on now and would add value and meaning to that old building (they'll have to remove all that brothel vibe gold gilt crap first).
November 29, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Well it isn't simple assault or an accidental outcome of a random act of aggression.
So yeah, they should all face the consequences of their actions.
Including all the members of the crew "just following orders".

We celebrate the idea of Christmas at our house with all the love and fellowship, breaking bread even celebrating the life of a true visionary and prophet with a valuable and meaningful message.

Can't say we hang around and celebrate religion for it's own sake.
(Like singing too, maybe I'm pagan)

Thoughts and Prayers🙏
(Not as effective as cash, but easier to give and cheaper.)

I'm so happy to know I am actually part of a protest and not just a curmudgeon when I refuse to participate in Black Friday madness.

I guess I am also thankful I have enough stuff to last me for quite a long time.

I shop local as much as possible also.

I'm now thankful of all my grandparents coming north 100 years ago to help build the country I call home so we could have Thanksgiving in October.
(Not better, just earlier).

It sounds like his values but there is no way he wrote it, it would be at least a grade 10 (sophomore?) level and have never seen anything he wrote that would have been past a middle school level.

I hope so too. We are now 67 years old, I think there's probably no more than 8 years of motorhoming left in us, then there may be another 5 years max of flying to somewhere nice.
It's not going to be back to normal by then, but I hope another generation might get a chance.

As a Canadian who for many years had retirement plans that included extensive USA travel plans. Having recently retired, I now say who cares how much they charge because we won't cross that border to hell.
November 28, 2025 at 3:27 AM
I guess I must be de-integrated as that should be the term for retirement now.
There was no de-integration process for me just a see y'all later, and out the door.
I now have perfect work life balance, thanks.🙂

Well, the cost of having him in the White House has been astronomical so him leaving (may God, and God only, have mercy on his soul) will lower the cost of living for everyone I would say.
That would be a great gift to the American people and humanity in general IMO.
November 27, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Yes, I like that idea, air fry the butternut squash (no cantaloupe please), put it all on a pizza crust, cover it with delicious cheese, bake at 450⁰ and yummmmm!
November 27, 2025 at 8:25 PM
I think I may have seen something about a "Kick Me in the Nuts" challenge.
He seems like a prime candidate.
