Do any of you have any Rainbow Warriors you've painted (or drawn for that matter) that you wouldn't mind us using in a video?

Full credit would be given on screen, obviously.

#68, Girth Control - Life’s too Short for Girth Control (2024)

A band that is incredibly amused by their own name but also I listened to them entirely based on the name so I guess they’re right to be proud.

#67, Thee Infidels - What We Got (2016)

Local man who listens to a lot of shouty ska punk shocks crowd by listening to more shouty ska punk band.

The short about the Ork tank REALLY popped the fuck off yesterday so the channel had the most views in a day it's ever had.

Just shy of 65,000 views. That's like 20k views more than the previous record. I have never seen this 'views in the last 48 hours' thing go above 100k, so that's fun.

#66, 80HD - Catch you on the Flipside

Not sure when this was released since it was uploaded a long time after. But one could roughly place it in the mid 2000s solely based on the fact the 3rd to last song just being a very particular form of jokey transphobia.

I hope the members have grown since.

#65, Anti-Venöm - A Handful of Nothing (2023)

A one man band who plays stuff kiiinda related to the crusty ska stuff I often listen to (as in it has the singer from Public Serpents on a track), but is very much going in their own direction with it.

For some reason I watched The Lawnmower Man tonight.

I hadn't seen it before. It is an odd movie, very much of its time. A time where people did not know that VR was just wearing monitors on your face and isn't, in fact, a path to human advancement.

#64, Primus - Tales From the Punchbowl (1995)

Sometimes you want to listen to something normal. Other times you want to listen to some Primus. And since I've not heard many whole albums, I had a few to choose from.

Went with this one since it had Wynona's Big Brown Beaver on it.

#63, Night Gaunts - Full Body Tourettes, Pt 2 (2011)

Went out shopping and decided this would be appropriate listening for it. They sound less like a British ska band in this one, the influence of more crusty sounding ska is much more present too.

His notoriety in the paleontological world means he's got an animal named after him. A pterosaur called ludodactylus sibbicki.

Which, amusingly, is not only named after him but the first part (meaning 'play finger') is a nod to it having the features usually erroneously put on toy pteranodons.

Watching some videos on old paleoart and a familiar name showed up: John Sibbick.

I didn't realise that the guy I knew best from illustrating the cover of Rogue Trader was also a massively influential artist of prehistoric animals. That is a fact that makes me smile.

Yeah they put one out for Blackstone Fortress.
October 24, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Forgot to mention it but I painted an old Ambull. They’re just a goofy bug monster, love them.
October 24, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Hoping they do a Nemesis Prime with the mould. That way I can get 2 of them (along with a duplicate of the original Prime) to not just complete the collection but also make myself a passable Yokohama Prime from the duplicates.
October 24, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Picked up a couple of series 3 Defender Blokees. Got a couple of purple bastards. I am okay with this.

Does mean I have 3 versions of the Optimus mould now. The Shattered Glass one is definitely the nicest.

We have a 'no cold calling' sticker on the door, and it really is remarkable how many people treat it like that Garfield meme.

#62, Mister Blank - No Ages, All Covers (2024)

When listening to a new band I'll usually just pick their latest album, this time it meant I got a covers album. And if you start with a cover of My Own Worst Enemy by Lit but ska I'm gonna keep listening. I'm a simple man.

#61, Sibannac - Closing Statement (2023)

Some more ska punk.

Whilst it had its moments, I wasn't super into this one, but I get the impression I'd have fucking loved seeing these guys play these songs live.
October 21, 2025 at 12:08 AM
That little Revell kit I got is assembled and is much more Orky now.

Basically the idea was to try and make something that would fit the early ‘pre-40k having plastic vehicle kits so you had to make do’ look.
October 18, 2025 at 4:01 PM
The urge to collect Ultramarines but to paint them like they were in early Rogue Trader so some of the vehicles are bright yellow.

It just pops in a way that pleases my brain, y'know?

#60, Chad Hates George - Kill Cops and Steal Their Hats (2015)

Another band with Jesse of Dayz 'N' Daze fame in it that I didn't realise existed. More acoustic crusty folk punk.
October 16, 2025 at 5:58 PM
#59, Night Gaunts - Conversations with Creation (2015)

This is maybe the most British-sounding band that isn't actually British I've heard (they're from New Zealand). Something about this particular blend of ska and hip-hop sounds like around 5 different bands I've played tiny venues with. S'good!
October 16, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Bought a small Revell kit of a sturmgeschütz IV to make a conversion out of since it was dirt cheap, and am remembering why I don’t like building ‘proper’ model kits.

These tracks are astonishingly horrible to assemble.

#58, Slipknot - The End, So Far (2022)

Thought I'd carry on with the nu-metal theme and see what Slipknot's most recent album was like. Similarly, it's alright! Was never really a fan back in the day but I've grown to appreciate the particular percussive sound they have (I like the loud noises).
October 11, 2025 at 3:24 PM
#57, Papa Roach - Ego Trip (2022)

Wondered what Papa Roach sounded like these days (they were the first band whose album I bought with my own money so I have a soft spot for them), the answer is 'lots of pop hooks and they're no longer embarrassed by starting as a rap-rock band'. It's alright!
