I haven't played any PlayStation since PS3, so not familiar with the worst of PS5 library. Cyber Fight is one of the worst games not only of the current generation, but one of the worst games I've ever attempted. Fairly sure it's a Switch Exclusive shovelware title, mind.

Nah Resi 2 is best enjoyed on Dreamcast, it's head & shoulders above every other version. Silent Hill would have been good on the console, hopefully someone talented can bring it over someday.

Is this the last date for guaranteed done and returned by Christmas or is it too late for that now? Got a couple of consoles I want to send in, hopeful of getting them back before Xmas but it's not the end of the world if I don't 🙂

The old 'it looks like a PS3 game' insult used by the kids on twitter lol. Though since 3D *really* took off in the 6th gen, every generation that's followed just feels like a pro version of the previous rather than a revolutionary leap.

Generational leaps just aren't what they were, it's like the law of diminishing returns in video game form. Although if I ask the teenage lads in my work the question it'll be absolutely retro, to them. Just not to me. There's a set line where something becomes retro and it's different for everyone.

I define retro as what my parents bought me vs what I got with my own money. That's why Dreamcast is retro to me and Gamecube/PS2 aren't, despite being the same generation. PS3/X360 being retro is laughable to me, but to the 16yo new starter in my work it'll be a VERY different story.

It was 1997, I was lagging behind still on the Mega Drive while they'd all moved onto the next generation of consoles, mainly the PlayStation. Might explain why he never missed it.

It's hard to see past Diddy Kong Racing, but I do have a soft spot for Pac-Man World Rally, which has some cool unique features which I won't spoil for you, as I know it's one you're itching to try.

When I was a kid my Mum was strict AF when it came to 'violent' video games, wouldn't even let me buy Streets of Rage. When I was 12 I borrowed SoR2 from a friend in school so I could enjoy it without my Mum knowing, and enjoy it I certainly did!

There's a mod of this that adapts the entire game to a first-person view while upping the difficulty. Brilliant way to play the game, more so than the official version IMO

The disappointing thing about this one - the Western releases anyway - is the framerate being locked at 30fps. The 🇯🇵 game runs at 60fps. Beyond that I think it's (particularly Saturn) fans regarding the original so highly that nothing could ever come close.

Carrier is a not too shabby Resident Evil clone with some unique features. Bought it from Game in 2001/2 in a 4 for £10 bargain bin deal. Wouldn't say it's worth the money it commands nowadays 😧

I like it too but SoR2 was always going to be a hard act to follow. Any follow-up to one of the all-time greats seems to suffer for it. Zelda Majora's Mask and Medal of Honor Rising Sun are other examples that spring to mind.

It's a decent enough little puzzle-platformer but I'm struggling to see what's so special about it. Yet another game raved about by the community that I've found... better than average, at best. Worth a go for less than £2.
