Sometimes I bump into things, or fall off of them, or trip over them. Always inventing new ways to get hurt without trying.

He’s not though. He’s laughed at all over the world (remember, Twitter is global, not “Merican”). I’ve been reflecting on my post above and it makes so much sense. He didn’t buy Twitter so people would fawn over him. Four years later it’s clear it was essential to the authoritarian playbook.

Whoa
Since we’re doing 10-year retrospectives, some texts with my brother from the day of Scalia’s death ten years ago. Got one prediction right. And one very sadly wrong.

“Transphobia inside the party is not a treatable wound inflicted by the far right—it is a malignancy, slow-moving but devastating, one that threatens to hollow out decades of progress from within. If it spreads unchecked, it could mark the end of so much our community has fought to preserve.”
There seems to be a lot of discussion about Gavin Newsom today.

I wanted to re-share this piece that I wrote, because I have a lot of center-to-left Dems that follow me that want to understand.

There are very good reasons transgender people do not like Gavin Newsom.
Why Transgender People Are Not Feeling Gavin Newsom

It’s human trafficking for profit. It’s not “border protection” and it’s not “deporting illegals.” It’s “cram people into warehouses with no defined outcome so the uber-rich can take government money from the taxpayers.” Oh and these companies are exempt from taxes. Kinda brilliant, 💯 maniacal.

DHS took confidential immigrant tax data from the IRS in order to carry out Trump's cruel deportation agenda — and target immigrants at their jobs.

But I thought immigrants were "lazy freeloaders" who mooch off the system and don't pay taxes?

Hello?

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills! Stop calling for #PamBondi to be disbarred! She can be disbarred, and her alma mater can strip her of her JD, and she would still be the AG. A high school dropout can hold the office of the AG. Please everyone understand this. Non-lawyers can service on SCOTUS.

There’s a responsible gun owner for you. “I did not understand what happened” really?? Then you haven’t had even a basic lesson on gun safety. Or it was intentional. I’m thinking the latter.

I’ve watched a lot of congressional hearings over the last 40 years. This performance by Bondi is the single most unprofessional, non-responsive, reprehensible and obnoxious I have ever seen from any witness who has testified before any committee of either chamber.

Bondi crashes out over Epstein: "The Dow is over 50,000 dollars! I don't know why you're laughing. You're a great stock trader as I hear, Raskin. The Dow is over 50,000 right now. The S&P at almost 7,000, and the Nasdaq smashing records. That's what we should be talking about."

Why would we remove lead from paint when it’s a naturally occurring element?
Arsenic is just an element found in nature. Why should we regulate it?
