Hit them where it hurts them - boycotts can work
Want to Stop ICE? Go After Its Corporate Collaborators.
ICE can’t function without help from the private sector. So we should force the private sector to stop helping.

The prime minister of Denmark has formally apologised for a Danish health programme of forced contraception which for decades systematically implanted coils into young women in Greenland.

It is a little weird to me countries aren’t more aggressively, formally trying to take advantage of the U.S. science brain drain. Once in a lifetime opportunity to buy low on Non-Dumbass Americans with PhDs who just wanna look into microscopes and quietly cure ass cancer as our country eats shit.

No matter how bad you imagine smallpox was, it was worse than that.
Ben Franklin on inoculation, after his son died from smallpox.

“In 1736, I lost one of my sons, a fine boy of four years old, by the small-pox, taken in the common way. I long regretted bitterly, and still regret that I had not given it to him by inoculation”.

I feel like this post is unintentionally poetic. As the church grew more powerful and obsessed with money Jesus' message got pushed aside. Here Jesus is gesturing to his burning heart, and someone has covered it by putting money in his hands - imposing a financial statement over the original intent

It doesn't take anything into account like muscle mass or tit weight. I know it's crass but muscle weighs more than fat and if you have a large chest they weigh a lot! The back pain comes from somewhere!
Friendly reminder that BMI was made up by an astronomer in the 1800s and we've just been treating it as scientific fact for centuries. Under scrutiny, there is very little to no actual evidence linking body mass or weight alone to increased health risks for most people.
Is BMI Accurate? New Evidence Says No
For years, BMI—body mass index—has been the go-to tool for plotting our weight into categories. If your BMI number is 25 or higher, you fall into the overweight or obese category. So, does that mean t...

It's a cumulative thing. Small things can inspire big things
THIS THIS THIS
A reminder that every small bit of good you do - whether it be putting art into the world, helping a friend or stranger, donating to a good cause, or just listening to someone who needs to vent - offsets all the evil in the world just a little bit. And sometimes that's just what the world needs.
