Illness & #disability -- and #caregiving -- come to ALL families. What are we doing, individually and as a people/govt., to support #caregivers ?
A few weeks ago, my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I won’t lie—it's been incredibly challenging for me and my family.

Now, I’m embarking on a journey to answer the questions so many of us face when it comes to providing care for our loved ones.

I hope you’ll join me.

My knee used to tremor like the engine knock that cars get in winter.

Sit down —> engine knock

Cross my legs —> engine knock

Sneeze —> engine knock

It's hard for me to actually catch a #tremor in the moment.
My hands don't always do this, so I can still draw most days. Sometimes #disability does stop you. It's why I give myself grace and don't push myself to draw bigger pieces.
Thank you for being here to see what I CAN do!

I came across *the* example I have been hammering with these food delivery robots.

A man with a mobility aid is forced to step aside because there is not room for him because the robot will not make room for a person (esp. those with a mobility aid who need addditional room)

I also meet a lot of active, happy, engaged seniors. I love asking them what their secret is, and it's always two things:

1: Stay moving. At a certain you either stretch or walk daily or you can't move. Start NOW.

2: Sometimes to care about. Garden. Grandkids. Pets. Doesn't matter.
