I love an awful game review, and 2026 is already delivering. Doesn’t help that on social media the devs clearly hate players. www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps5/...

We don’t need billionaires, but they absolutely need us.

As someone who has been ridding himself of disc based media while being a film buff, I have a singular regret. While the majority of those discs are with good collectors, I have defaced innocent trash bags who deserve better cargo than some of the dreck I’ve received as gifts through the years.

The epidemic of writers who publish stories that make me think they have ADD or that I do is growing. Yet another book I’m reading where the author can’t seem to make up his mind which character he is interested in focusing on and for how long.

I’ve been trying the Criterion Channel streaming service this week, filled with indie films from around the globe. It’s like a whole new world, wish I’d tried it much sooner.

I’m not a Warriors fan, but the referees at the Clippers game liked them even less. Ejected the coach, put Curry on the bench for the last part of the game.

Bonus points for finding a NBC logo on a chain to wear.

Watching the Clippers/Warriors game on Peacock, and may I say Snoop Dogg on commentary makes everything better.

With all the stories swirling in the tech sphere right now, run a feature about seeing if your streaming device needs internet service.

It’s a dreadfully slow news day over at BGR. People are being paid to write articles like this. www.bgr.com/2065080/can-...
Can You Use An Apple TV Without Internet? - BGR
The short answer is no, you don't need internet. However, without connecting to the internet, you're going to be limited in what you can do with your Apple TV.

Must be demoralizing that an ever-dwindling number of them actually watch your news.
Incredible. CBS Evening News announces five new “simple values” — instead of their “38-page handbook” — as they roll out Tony Dokoupil is lead anchor.

One of those values is simply: “We love America and make no apologies for saying so.”

As someone who played with Legos as a child, it was certainly more fun building what I wanted out of the blocks than doing what the directions wished me to do. If they had sold block assortments rather than kits, I’d have likely asked for far more as a kid.
There’s a story there about how Lego flipped from selling simple blocks that imagination could turn into anything to selling kits full of exquisitely specialized blocks for specific, directed builds. I’ve never seen it written up, and it’s seldom even commented upon.

All true. Google hasn’t made a penny from me in ages, and that streak has no end in sight.
Google kissing Trump ass and effectively ending content moderation beyond nudity and DMCA on YouTube has directly contributed to the evil, racist nonsense taking place in the administration Re: Minnesota.

It's time to pull back from Google services as much as possible, if not quit them outright.

@alexriven201.bsky.social May I recommend adding a link to your book in your BlueSky bio? Seeing you talk about it as you do here might drum up additional interest.

I see MTG trending again, and some are trying to prop her up for turning against Trump. Good for her, it’s the first intelligent decision she made as a member of Congress. However, that doesn’t mean I give her a pass on everything else she did prior to that.

One of the biggest takeways for me this year is to stop putting more energy into others than they do for me.

It’s hard to overstate how much I despise blister packaging. All this effort for something that cost me six bucks!

If I had a massive X following full of random people agreeing with me, that’s a sign I should reconsider a few things.

Would also require an account there, and that’s a hard pass.

I don’t follow Cuban, but I saw he was trending. As usual, it was for these hot takes he thinks are insightful.

I’m intrigued you enjoy chatting with far right sycophants and bots. Cant speak for bots, but the reason the sycophants like you is not one I’d be bragging about.
No shock. This app has turned my mentions, and others, into mostly hate. But there are a few people worth connecting with

CRAZY how it's easier these days to have a real discussion on X, or threads, than on here.

Ms. Weiss, you will go down in journalistic history. Of that, I have no doubt.

But it won’t be for reasons you’d prefer.
Weiss concluded: “We need to be able to make every effort to get the principals on the record and on camera. To me, our viewers come first, not a listing schedule or anything else. And that is my North Star, and I hope it's the North Star of every person in this newsroom.”
