I think this strengthens the case for Stancilism.
Immediate post pandemic economy was *weird* in a way that made it hard to compare it to similar years.
But we've got low unemployment and low inflation now. Very hard to make the case that now is worse than the Volcker shock.

UMich consumer sentiment (current conditions) at 50.4 is a new all-time low -- going back to data from the 1970s.

Minneapolis has FIFTY YEARS of inclusive laws protecting trans people, allowing them to self-identify, and ZERO cases of trans people attacking women in the bathroom. ZERO. Over FIFTY YEARS.
The narrative is that trans people will harm and harass people in the bathroom, but it almost always is actually like this case where the aggressor is the transphobe confronting the trans person. It's ridiculous. They want to kick "undesirables" out from public life entirely, if they could.

Man fucking high school honors classes were such bullshit. Looking back it was totally internal segregation, the material wasn’t “more challenging” and we were given more grace and leeway to make mistakes that would NOT have gone unpunished on the “normal track.”
