32, faggot in toronto. like a lot of nerd shit.
Just got out of Return to Silent Hill. Really, impressively dogshit. Felt like it was made by someone who had only ever been told about movies secondhand but never seen one. It would have been entertainingly bad if it wasn't constantly in SUCH poor taste.

Almost done my DS3 playthrough. Just slapped the Nameless King down. Took me days the first time. Of course, I'm using the most OP weapon in the game. But I still ate her up.

Looking up Sailor Moon stuff for my partner's upcoming birthday and found her. Oh sweetie.

I know it would be gauche but any time I see someone post a pic of themselves with any sort of "would you do x to me?" or "does anyone want to make out with me" etc caption, I really want to reply "no".

I initially played DS3 well before playing 1. Playing it again now, after just having replayed 1 and 2, I'm finally getting the intended Holy Shit effect of pulling the lever, seeing the spiral staircase spin into place, and then riding it up to the Anor Londo title card. Magical.

Really upsetting getting invaded and ganked by someone named "4chan coomer". Don't know if I can come back from this one.

Quotes from this show constantly gallop through my brain at top speed. What are birds? We just don't know.
I've been leaning towards Tubi being the streaming service, and now I think it's official: they have Season 1 and Season 2 of one of the best science and technology comedy shows ever made… "Look Around You".

Thanks, Tubi. Thubi.

Look Around You
This unique combination of parody and homage to early 70s/80s British educational programs examines different scientific topics in each episode.

Managed to actually sleep through the night last night but the sore throat is really wearing on my nerves. And I have 7 meetings today. Shoot me!

I know it's unkind to go after someone's appearance, but seeing pictures of Harry Styles makes my skin absolutely crawl.

In hindsight, going to the bathhouse during flu season was very unwise. Miserable.

Honey Bunch was very cool. Kept me guessing start to finish, and it was a really fabulous blend of genres glued together with sharp cinematography and a lush score and sound design.

Again - AI sucks ass on a practical level. But come correct.
January 20, 2026 at 5:56 AM
Going to blather a bit. The plagiarism argument falls so flat to me. Even if it actually was a "plagiarism machine" - not how it works - that is meaningless to the concept of ownership over art. If you take a photograph of someone else's painting and you present that as art, that is still your art.

Generative AI sucks. It's a largely pointless, wasteful bubble technology, it lowers people's standards for art and writing, and it encourages laziness when used in daily life. The devaluation of human labor in creative fields is genuinely miserable. But being a reactionary about it is not helpful.

Contrary to popular belief, not everyone on the internet is out to get you, nor are they some radicalized regurgitator you can't have a conversation with.

Who's got two thumbs and won free tickets to see an advance screening of Honey Bunch with director Q&A!

Caught All You Need Is Kill at the theatre. Good flick, gorgeously animated. Based on the same Japanese light novel as Edge of Tomorrow, which is one my favorite sci fi movies despite Tom Cruise. An interesting take on the source material.
