tbh i was wondering how well the game would work open world and it seems that in map 2 they go "ah... well..." i'm having more fun with it now but i kinda miss doing that one temple map like 8 times with different enemy layouts

on some level i feel like giving up some convenience is inevitable if you want to switch to tools and services that aren't as evil, & the fact that it can be quite hard to do so is a big part of why these companies make the moves they do

tbh much as i enjoy the forum it's definitely died down since the month i launched it! i do love the idea of forums but im not sure if everyone has the energy for them these days, which is a shame

i'm curious to see what later areas and ng+ will feel like because whatever the structure i've kind of felt like this game is way easier than 2 mostly due to the fact that creating 1v1s is very easy so far

yea they still got one-off missions that reuse maps but it's much less than in 2, i liked the aspect of learning the layouts too

on the whole it feels easier to turn fights into 1v1s but the real damage of open world is you have dickheads like me doing every single thing on the map & ending up 20+ levels above what the end of the zone wants you to be at

this was my big worry with the demo but like every single 'open world' area after the demo is a lot more structured and closed off and there's still missions that have mandatory fights. still kind of a step down in terms of forcing fights onto you but not as bad as i assumed it would be
