A mature conversation? Ok then. I sincerely think that politicians who have sold public assets without getting everyone's approval should be jailed for theft, and people who bought it should be done for receiving stolen property.

This kind of "analysis" is pointless. What about a piece that looks at similar funds overseas that have worked and ones that haven't and the lessons to be learnt? Perhaps a deep-dive on what kind of projects such a fund could, er, fund & why do they struggle to attract $$ from traditional investors.

I hope the first big infrastructure project from the future fund is the long-awaited Waikumete-Rosebank Bridge! Yes it's niche but it's probably got a better ROI than anything the current govt are proposing ...

I can tell you, there were 2 counter-protest groups - 1 zionist and 1 destiny- and they had maybe 50-100 people in total. The protest crowd had turned onto Customs St while people were still coming out of Aotea Square. Felt like a lot more than 20,000.

I would love to see, and wish that it would open the floodgates, a journalist or subeditor to do a piece really laying out the way ideology is pushed down from above at our media orgs, i.e. why has RNZ published this obvious nonsense. (it's GOTTA be more than just ACT pumps out press releases).
