Just a gentle ask... there are more and more people coming into Minnesota to join the resistance against ICE and that's great. But if you are donating money, please donate to established groups in Minnesota. They are doing the work, know the landscape, and you won't accidentally fund any grifters

I keep 2 candy dishes on my office desk - one fruity candy and one for chocolate candy

My chocolate bowl currently has a mixture of Heath, Rolo, KitKat, and Milk Duds.

I’m learning a lot about the dental situations of my coworkers thanks to the presence of Milk Duds 😂

My first two thoughts, as a Minnesota mom, seeing this forecast:

1. Ha, suck it ICE
2. This might actually be cold enough that I don’t have to fight with my middle schooler to get her to wear a coat to school

I’m not good at puzzles but I am trying to do more activities that defrag my brain a little and aren’t attached to the 24/7 doom machines.

This is 1500 pieces and I fear I am out of my depth.

I need to update my resume for the first time in like five years and, wow, I've done a lot in the couple of years. I'm proud of myself and my career, but, ugh, resume updating is so tedious.

I am DONE with all of my gift buying and 75% of my wrapping.

I have lots of memories of my mom being stressed & mean on Christmas Eve b/c she was barely done shopping and hadn't done wrapping. One of the gifts I give myself & my kids is wrapping one gift a day for most of Dec and shopping early

I plan to handle the eventual death of, well, you know, with the exact amount of grace, compassion, and dignity that he has historically shown to others.

I know mistakes happen, but getting sent the wrong item from an online store and then having to go to the post office to return it (in December!) is really annoying.

I don’t want to keep a pair of men’s size 14 running shoes but I also don’t want to have to, like, do something to return the. Sigh.

I love a Christmas stocking (both having one and filling one) and I feel like this is the ideal mixture:
- candy (duh)
- some sort of small toiletry for a purse (hand sanitizer, dental floss picks or good lip balm)
- something that exists for the sole purpose of being cute
- scratcher tickets

And, yes, that says Snickers salad.

Being middle aged means sending an excited text to your bestie after your annual physical to brag about how good your A1C is.

Having middle aged best friends means that the “omg, amazing!” text you get in response is entirely sincere 😂

I’m on a flight that got moved on to a bigger plane than originally scheduled and the flight is only 50% full and everyone is so happy. It’s a fairly long flight too and my last flight after many weeks of work travel, so this is a nice way to wrap up work travel for the year
