Something is very wrong with the spiders of Sheffield. The Doctor and friends investigate.
Also the longest serving Doctor had a strong Catholic background and that did factor into his characterisation, then again a look at this account shows they’re a ”I don’t like Doctor Who but talk about it anyway” type.

The title also adds to the mystery - who is Mawdryn? Turlough is already sorta undead, is he the mystery linking everything together? What does the Brigadier have to do with anything? It's legit really well established and set up. Everything clicks into place.

A lot of this is due to BBC rules and bureaucracy, you can't make jokes or stream highlights about Jonathan Bailey in Time Heist because that's indirectly promoting something he's in (except... it... isn't!). And if that's the case... *end the rule*. Promote the damn show, link it to other things!

Seriously, maybe not the exact same type of meme but Kitchen Nightmares, a show that was revived in part because people watched the clips of the old show *because of the meme thumbnails*, gets it. MEME! Embrace the community!

The memes were embraced fully and it was very fun, why not stream the multi-Doctor specials or something like that? At least the 50th?

OK, so there's no news about the future of the show, the missing episodes clearly haven't been fully signed off yet in terms of agreements so fair enough there aren't huge announcements but surely you can do *something*?

Kal's actor was alive in 2013, I think it would've been cool if he'd returned in Name of the Doctor and the Great Intelligence is using his body. That would've been a very understandable nerd dump, take the TV show all the way back.

Due to the breaking news rollout and the snow covering much of Britain affecting signals the first episode barely registered and it was the repeat the next week that got the ratings Newman wanted.

Like obviously if you have issues with their Star Wars/Doctor Who work then fair enough, as long as they're actual criticisms and not moaning, but to still be mad at them is hilarious. Last Jedi was *8* years ago, move on!

The next Luther film was announced and he's a regular cast member of that show, so I guess it's that.

It's basically page by page the book, he's doing some changing of relationships and motivations but it's very much not really doing anything too new to the story, which is both good and bad, feels like he should've made this ten years ago.

The film is definitely nothing you wouldn't expect from a Guillermo del Toro Frankenstein. I'm glad he got to make it, if I was a director with clout I'd have a "make my pet projects" era too, but I'd like something original next time. It's definitely a masterpiece of production values.
