Anthony O'Donnell is very good as Kaagh in SJA but it's so obvious he's doing a Christopher Ryan impression that it's clear the idea was to just get Christopher Ryan. Was his salary that much 😂A good Sontaran actor really lives and breathes the makeup and O'Donnell excels in that department.

The Six Faces of Delusion might be one of my all-time favourite Doctor Who scenes. Genuinely just sums up the whole story and ethos, one of those "any Doctor would've worked in it" scenes.

Benton is admittedly a bit of a stretch because of John Levene's health (would've been nice if he was in Power's companion circle) but the other 3 I can see happen.

Honestly not a bad turnout for me at the cinema this year, going to most of the major chains and some smaller ones. I'd go to Picturehouse more but accessibility for the smaller indie films has been TERRIBLE for UK release this year. I don't have a main one, just what I'm the mood for travel wise.

I think it's very interesting that the same showrunner who has to clarify Sutekh culturally appropriated a culture that doesn't exist anymore and that the Toymaker canonically was Sinophobic used goblins and even embraced some of the problematic tropes connected with their role in mythology.

Like, actual evidence from the episode, I can sort of hear a female undertone but the main voice is male. Apparently both are women?

OK am I being stupid or is this a personal Mandela effect because I distinctly remember the Thijarians in Doctor Who being distorted male voices but they actually have female voice actors? What? It's been a couple of years since I've seen the episode admittedly but this is news to me.

The Great London Smog of 1952 is an event so rife for Doctor Who it has actually been adapted twice in expanded media, neither story contradicts the other as both take place at different times during the smog and the explanations I *think* can be put together.

Just for fun, every UK county that has had Doctor Who location filming, I 100% have EVERYTHING correct (please tell me I do), some of these are literally one story or one part of one story (like Lincolnshire which is some establishing shots in Battlefield).

Incidentally, if Series 9 had started a week later Invasion would probably the episode that got fucked more cause the cliffhanger that courted controversy for bad timing would've been *after* the plane bombing. I think they could've gotten away with it with a warning/disclaimer.
