Have seen random drivers in the bike lane there. Kid doesn't understand how bollards are wide enough to let vehicles through, nor do I. Even scarier, I see multiple drivers on screens on that stretch. Neighbors at one time advocated for that street design. It's really set up for zombie drivers.

Last year October, the reds were pretty spectacular when I went to Lake Elmo and saw them in the dark. I have never seen the reds that I saw last night in the middle of a city with high light pollution!

Funny enough, some people I spoke with saw voting for Her as revolutionary and thought there was similar anger as theirs across the river. They were sure Frey was also going to lose with that wave of anger. They definitely weren't seeing the issues the same way that I was.

Everyone I talked to was angry, and I equate it to the price of eggs argument in last year's Presidential election. People saw nothing positive, thought Carter didn't care or listen about taxes, St Thomas development, and SOS. They thought it was time for change rather than "status quo"

Honestly, I am not sure that she thinks this is part of her platform, either. She said some words to get some votes, but she wasn't ever committed to much and I have a feeling she will not make the angry crowd that supported her on a lot of issues happy.

We're all proud of the work he did for St Paul and hope Her can continue the progress that has been made for our youth, our infrastructure, and safety/gun crimes.

A lot of people didn't. I didn't until I started asking my colleagues - I couldn't find a single person at work who was supporting Carter. I got nervous then. I really tried to talk them back to supporting him.

Not supporting Rainville, but I've lost friends to psychiatric disorders after they lost people who ensured they were medicated & cared for, I struggle with what's the solution. Conservatorship would've saved the people I knew. It's possible now, but a long process. Some changes might save lives.

That's been one of my strongest reasons for supporting Carter and what I point out to people who have been on the fence. I remind them, too, that things take time, but we are on the right path.

The one thing that's always been clear: Mayor Carter has plans to build equity in the community. A community he grew up in and feels strongly about, to boot.
That takes patience, and I'm willing to give him that since it's not easy or a slam dunk kinda thing.

I have seen so much progress in this city during @mayorcarter.bsky.social last two terms and I know he'll keep it going. Looking forward to casting my vote to support him for a third term!
