Tristan came out of his winter meditation and found Bud's tail. Again. But the kid hadn't interrupted him.

A snowy landscape has three fields of attention. The foreground has a split rail fence and a big granite rock shaped like an oblong scone. The middle ground mixes leafless trees and evergreens.
